Helmets & Reflective Gear Required​

Helmets and reflective safety straps are required by law for both driver and passenger. All Buen Moto rentals come with both a compliant helmet and reflective strap included in the price of the rental.

Motorcycle rentals in Costa Rica must be properly registered and legally permitted to operate. All Buen Moto bikes are fully compliant, so you can ride with confidence knowing everything is 100% legal and up to standard.
Ride Smart in Tamarindo & Guanacaste​
​
Road conditions can vary in Tamarindo, Playa Grande and across Guanacaste. Always ride carefully, especially on gravel roads, dirt paths or near the beach. During rainy season, be careful going through any standing water—if you can't see the bottom, you never know how deep it is.
Be Aware of One-Lane Bridges and Sparse Road Signs​

Many roads around Tamarindo and Guanacaste have one-lane bridges. Watch for signs, yield to oncoming traffic, and cross slowly while staying to the right.
Always drive defensively, use caution, and when in doubt, yield to oncoming traffic.Â
